Manager of Marketing and Public Engagement
For more than 33 years, the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum has provided early learners impactful and nurturing programs and spaces that help foster imagination, creativity, socialization skills, and the ability to understand the world around them.
Now, as a result of a strategic assessment and visioning process, we have extended the age range of the children we serve. With the addition of a new interactive science exhibition and richer and more relevant STEM programming, we aim to elevate a child’s ability and appreciation for learning through age 12. Reflecting this bold move, the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum is in the process of rebranding ourselves as the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum.
Additionally, the Museum operates a 7,000 square foot pavilion on the waterfront of the Hudson River that features a farmers market. Our Museum is the first children’s museum in the country to operate a public farmers market as a strategy for fighting food insecurity and advancing community health. Our Market, the recipient of a meaningful grant, is a key growth initiative for our institution.
With that said, we are now ready to bring on an innovative museum marketeer. Based on your combination of education and practical experience, you will bring a fresh perspective to making the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum and the Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market a must-visit destination for young learners and their families, schools, and the community at large.
