Children’s Outdoor Gardening Class

Come and participate in our Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market, where you can also help garden at the museum!

Join horticulturist Serena from Nature’s Impact to explore the awesome world of soil and learn how to create your very own garden! Get ready to have fun and get your hands a little dirty as we discover different types of soil, how they make plants grow and learn how to plant herbs and  vegetables at the museum’s herb, pollinator and salsa outdoor gardens.

COST: FREE

SESSIONS: There are three, one-hour sessions (1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm). Stay for as little or as long as you like!

CHECK-IN: Please check in at the Market in the pavilion; we will then take you to the outdoor gardens.
