GlassBarge Poughkeepsie (Corning Museum of Glass)

Join us as we help the Corning Museum of Glass celebrate the 150th anniversary of glassmaking moving from Brooklyn to Corning, New York.  GlassBarge, a floating glassmaking studio, that is recreating the historic journey from Brooklyn to Corning via the Hudson River and the Erie Canal with a stop in Poughkeepsie the weekend of June 8-10!

Step aboard the GlassBarge at Victor C. Waryas Park June 8-10 11am-6pm for free glassmaking demonstrations. All demos are approximately 30 minutes long, and reservations are strongly encouraged through free timed tickets.  Reserve your ticket today!

As part of the celebration, the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum will invite people aboard the Lois McClure to learn about what life was like on board a canal barge in the 19th century. Tours are first come, first served and do not require registration. The South Street Seaport Museum will also be on hand to talk about their historic tug that will be moving GlassBarge along the waterways.
