Join us for International Science Center and Science Museum Day!

ISCSMD is a global event in its second year and is a collaborative effort among the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the world’s science centers and museums, and their networks across the globe. (FUN FACT: the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum is a founding participant in this international celebration of STEM learning!)

To celebrate the day this year, MHCM is introducing its new “Parent Spot” – a stand alone exhibit designed to invite parents and caregivers to reflect upon current events in science and how they affect them and their families. Our Parent Spot kick-off topic is “Science, Education and Parenting in the Post-Truth Age.”

Can you spot fake news? How do stories in the media influence what you think you know? How do you help your kids identify scientific facts versus personal or political opinions? Come be a part of the conversation!
