Making Masterpieces: Let’s Make Felt Art

March 22, 2017 | 2:30 pm

This month:  Working with colorful roving children will build a “painting” with fiber.  Felt is made when layers of wool roing are bonded together and flattened using the art process of “wet felting.”  Using the wet felting process, children will turn light and fluffy wool into a beautiful and permanent felt art creation to take home.

About “Making Masterpieces” Programs:  This facilitated art program invites parents and caregivers to work with their pre-school aged child to create something special to take home.  Each month features a new project!

Cost:  $5.00 materials fee per child, plus museum admission (adults free)
