Outdoor Program: Electric Science

Program Description: Explore electricity in this fun, interactive workshop! We’ll have “shocking” static electricity demonstrations with our Van De Graf generator. Plus, hands on activities with simple electric circuits. Kids will make their own simple paper LED light up circuit to take home.
This program is for children ages 5-7 and space is limited.
Cost: Materials Fee: MHCM Members: $4; non-members $8 per child
Please Note: The main museum building remains closed at this time due to COVID-19. This special socially distanced outdoor program will be held in MHCM’s open-air waterfront pavilion. Social distancing will be enforced and stringent cleaning protocols will be in place. Space is limited to 20 groups of 2-3 people (including adults). Each group will be assigned to a separate workstation to ensure appropriate social distancing. Face masks are required of all participants – no exceptions. Pre-registration is required. No walk-ins.
