Our Impact Grows … Even Now
By all measures, this has been a time without parallel – one that has created extraordinary challenges for families, businesses, and organizations throughout our region and beyond.
While the pandemic is still keeping the doors to the Museum closed, we have shifted our public engagement strategies so that we can continue to support our community in this time of need through the following efforts:
Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market – our weekly farmers market is now open and runs Monday afternoons from May through October to connect families with fresh, healthy food!
Mobile Pop-up Museum (NEW! Launching June 2021) – we’ve partnered with NASA to create a new museum on wheels that will bring interactive experiences in STEM and space science to communities throughout the Hudson Valley!
Outdoor Programming in the Pavilion – We are once again offering socially-distanced, hands-on educational programs in our riverfront space all summer long!
Tools for Discussing Race with Children – We created an online toolkit for just parents and educators to help guide children through exploring the complex issues of race, justice, and equality.
Why Your Support is Needed
Your gift will help ensure that we can continue to serve families and our community through this time of temporary extended closure – AND – have the funds necessary to reopen when we are able.

About Hudson Valley Gives
HVGives is celebrating its 6th annual day of giving in 2021! It was created by the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan (CFOS) in partnership with the Mid Hudson Valley Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) for the purpose of advancing philanthropy throughout the Hudson Valley and celebrating the work of our region’s many nonprofit organizations.
