Tell Me a Story – Exhibition Grand Opening Weekend

December 1, 2017 | All Day

Join us as we celebrate the Grand Opening of our newest exhibition, “Tell Me a Story.” Special hands-on activities are included with museum admission all weekend long!

“Tell Me a Story” includes several new climbing elements, slides, and tunnels to encourage physical play. In “Long, Long Ago,” children are invited to navigate a child-friendly climbing wall, tiptoe through cat-walks, scoot down a new slide and hang out in a cargo net suspended over the Museum’s main stairway. “The High Seas” features a new pirate ship structure with climbing nets, a slide, a scarf cannon, a main sail to hoist and hidden treasure to encourage storytelling tales of adventure. “Center Stage” invites families to create and perform their own theatrical presentations. The “Story Box” is the world’s first book-making sandbox and invites families to create silly “stop motion” stories using their smartphones.

“Tell Me a Story” was developed with support from the H.W. Wilson Foundation and the Charlotte Cunneen-Hackett Charitable Trust, and gifts made to the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum’s Annual Fund.
