Party Packages

Rent our party space or the entire museum and create your own party at the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum!  We offer three options to accommodate different party sizes.

OPTION 1:  BASH PARTY PACKAGE

Includes:

  • 20 guests (children and adults) including the party child
  • You and your guests have a reserved space with tables and chairs for two hours
  • You and your guests have access to the museum exhibits and free activities until the close of the museum
  • Each child party guest will receive a “FREE Child Admission Pass” for use on a future visit

You provide:

  • All food, paper products, beverages, tablecloths and serving utensils for your party
  • You are responsible for the event set up (decorating) and table clean up.  Please note:  decorations are limited to table-tops and free-standing items.  Materials may not be hung from ceilings or walls.

Bash Party Reservation times:

  • Saturday 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM; 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM; 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Sunday 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM; 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Cost for 20 guests, including adults:

  • Member: $250
  • Non-Member: $285
  • Additional guest fee: $14
  • Maximum party size for Bash Party Option 1: 25 people
  • Party Add-Ons

OPTION 2:  DELUXE PARTY PACKAGE

Includes:

  • 40 guests (children and adults) including the party child
  • You and your guests have a reserved space with tables and chairs to accommodate up to 50 guests for two hours
  • You and your guests have access to the museum exhibits and free activities until the close of the museum
  • Each child party guest will receive a “FREE Child Admission Pass” for use on a future visit

 You provide:

  • All food, paper products, beverages, tablecloths and serving utensils for your party
  • You are responsible for the event set up (decorating) and table clean up.  Please note:  decorations are limited to table-tops and free-standing items.  Materials may not be hung from ceilings or walls.

Deluxe Party Reservation times:

  • Saturday 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM; 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM; 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Sunday 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM; 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Cost for 40 Guests, including adults:

  • Member: $375
  • Non-Member $425
  • Additional guest fee: $14
  • Maximum party size for Bash Option 2: 50 people
  • Party Add-Ons

 

OPTION 3:  AFTER-HOURS PARTY PACKAGE

Includes:

  • 60 guests including the host
  • You and your guests have the entire museum, two floors of exhibits, for your two-hour private party event. The museum will be closed to the public during your party.
  • The museum staff will setup the party area with tables and chairs for up to 60 guests
  • Each child party guest will receive a “FREE Child Admission Pass” for use on a future visit
  • Museum staff will set up your party in the museum’s program room and remove trash
  • Note:  Upon prior approval by museum staff, outside entertainment may by allowed during private, after-hour events (only).

 You provide:

  • All food, paper products, beverages, tablecloths and serving utensils for your party
  • You are responsible for the event set up (decorating) and table clean up. Please note:  decorations are limited to table-tops and free-standing items. Materials may not be hung from ceilings or walls.

After-Hour Party Reservation times:

  • 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Cost for 60 Guests, including adults:

  • Members: $500
  • Non-members: $575
  • Additional guest fee: $14.00 per person
  • Additional hour: $230
  • Maximum party size for After-Hours Parties: 80 guests (seating is limited to 60)

Restrictions:

  • Food and beverage are limited to the party space and may not be in gallery spaces
  • No hot beverages
  • No alcohol
  • No piñatas, noisemakers, confetti poppers
  • No explosive materials
  • No music during museum open hours
  • No smoking on the premises
  • The hiring of entertainers who are not affiliated with the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum is not permitted during Museum hours.

Rescheduling:

A $65 fee will be applied if a reserved party is rescheduled at any time.  If a party must be rescheduled due to inclement weather, rescheduling fee is waived.

Cancellation:

If party is cancelled more than one month prior to scheduled party, 100% of the fee will be refunded minus a $65 cancellation fee. There will be no refund for any cancellation made within one month of the scheduled party date.
