Child Care Provider Program

The Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum is partnering with The Dutchess County Department of Community and Family Services in coordination with the Child Care Council of Dutchess and Putnam, Inc.  to offer this program and provide Child Care Providers with take-home activity kits and resources. The resources help Child Care Providers to provide a fun and easy to implement way to incorporate science and STEAM activities into a structured day of play and care.

Programs include:

Resource Distribution: All providers will receive additional materials and resources to be used at home to further support child development.

Toddler & Me Learning Lab: This program brings toddlers and caregivers together for stories, songs, movement, and hands-on STEAM activities. Programs take place on select Tuesdays at 10:30 am and are included with the free museum pass or admission. CLICK HERE for dates and times and to register for the program.

Museum Admission Passes: All Child Care Provider participants will receive passes from the Child Care Council to visit the museum on the day of the program. These passes are available to Child Care Providers, including registered providers, foster parents, and family members that are not the child’s legal guardian or parent.

Programs are included with museum admission. To attend, click here to register. To receive take-home activity kits, resource kits, and museum admission passes, you must pick up the passes and kits at the Child Care Council office or call them at 845-473-4141.
