DIGITAL MEMBERSHIP CARDS:  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I access my digital membership card?

Step 1: Download the “eMembership Card” app from the App Store or Google Play.
Step 2: Select “Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum” from the destination options. If you don’t see it, search for “Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum” in the search bar.
Step 3: Select the “Find My Membership Cards” button.
Step 4: Enter your membership number and your last name OR your phone number and your last name.
Step 5: Click “Download my cards.” Your membership card is now available in the eMembership App. You will not need to download it again. Just open the eMembership App when you visit the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum and easily access your card!

Does it work for android and iphone?

MHDM digital membership cards are available for both iOS and android users through the App Store and Google Play.

Does it cost anything to download?

If you are a member, your digital membership cards are free to download.

There is more than one adult named on my membership. How do they access their digital membership card?

The other adult named on the membership can download a digital membership card following the same process. They will need to enter your membership number and your last name OR your phone number and your last name to locate the membership card, and will be required to show photo ID at check-in.

What if I don’t want to download the app?

If you don’t want to download the app, you can access your digital cards via our website, or you can use the QR codes posted at our front desk. If you have the Traveler or Galaxy membership level and plan to travel to other museums, please email our Membership Department or call 845-471-0545 x914.

I don’t have a mobile phone, what can I do?

You can check in at the front desk by giving your name and showing your photo ID. If you have the Traveler or Galaxy membership level and plan to travel to other museums, please email our Membership Department or call 845-471-0545 x914.

Do I still need to show my photo ID when I use my digital membership card?

Yes. We require a photo ID when checking in to protect your membership from unauthorized use.

Will my digital card be accepted for reciprocal admission at other museums?

If you have the Traveler or Galaxy membership level, your digital membership card will be accepted by other museums that take part in reciprocal admission for MHDM members.

There is an error on my digital membership card. How can I fix it?

Just email our Membership Department or call 845-471-0545 x914 with the correct information and we’ll get it updated.

Can I visit the museum if I forgot to bring my phone with my digital membership card with me?

Yes, you can still visit. Our front desk staff can look up your membership in our system using your photo ID. You will need your digital membership card if you have the Traveler or Galaxy membership level and you plan to visit other museums using the reciprocal admission benefit.

When is my membership active?

When you purchase a membership, your membership is active and can be used immediately. Just provide your photo ID when you visit. If you have the Traveler or Galaxy membership level, your digital membership card will be accepted by other museums that take part in reciprocal admission for MHDM members (please download your digital membership card).

How long after I purchase or renew my membership will my digital card be available for download?

Please allow up to 2 weeks for your membership cards to show up in the eMembership Card app or through the link on our website.

I renewed or made changes to my membership but my digital membership card hasn’t been updated. How do I fix this?

To get your updated membership card, using the eMembership Card app, simply click “Find My Membership Cards” and complete that process again, including downloading your new membership cards.

I downloaded my digital membership card but now I can’t find it. Where did it go?

Simply search in your app library for “eMembership Card”. You can also add your card to your Apple or Google Wallet after downloading but will still need to use the eMembership Card app for your other membership benefits.

How will I know when my membership should be renewed?

The Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum will send you an email to let you know when your membership is up for renewal. You will also receive an update through the eMembership Card app (please allow the app to send you notifications).
