MHDM Turns 35! Ribbon Cutting & Celebration

The Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum is proud to celebrate its 35th Anniversary with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted in partnership with the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce.

This community celebration honors 35 years of sparking curiosity, strengthening families, and supporting children’s growth through play-based learning. As the region’s only children’s museum, MHDM has long served as a vital resource for early childhood enrichment, engaging children in experiences that foster school readiness, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

The event will include brief remarks from museum leadership and community partners, a ceremonial ribbon cutting, and light refreshments. Attendees will have an opportunity to reflect on the museum’s legacy and hear about plans for the future, including expanded outdoor exhibits, enhanced STEAM programming, and strengthened local partnerships.

All are welcome to join us as we mark this important milestone and look ahead to an exciting future!
