Poetry in the Pavilion

August 4 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Celebrate the spoken word at the Poughkeepsie Waterfront! Join us in the museum pavilion for “Poetry in the Pavilion” curated by the talented Bettina “Poet Gold” Wilkerson. Poet Gold, affectionately known as, “Gold,” brings a soul-searching insight about the human existence, love, dreams, challenges, and triumph.

Gold has invited exceptional poets to join her for this occasion and there will be an opportunity for people to share their poems at an open mic session.

Poet, author, performer, songwriter, community “Artivist,” voice over artist, speaker and emcee, Gold is the recipient of numerous awards which include the 2017 and 2018 NYS Dutchess County Poet Laureate, the 2016 Dutchess County Executive’s Artivist Award and the Dutchess County Athena Award honoree. With countless recitations, she has opened for Grammy-nominated artists and has spoken at renowned organizations such as Omega Institute and Self Employment in the Arts.
